In order to produce the food that makes its way to our tables, farms need the right raw materials and supplies. Animal feed, fertilizers, and crop seeds are among the most important parts of a farm’s supply chain, not to mention the various construction materials needed to build farm buildings and storage. In terms of food, these products must reach the end consumers – whether they are based in cities or less urban areas. Food products are perishable and need to be transported quickly and using correct handling procedures so that items aren’t knocked about or bruised. Food also needs to be transported hygienically to make sure it is safe for human consumption.

GOAT Elite Expediting provides Livestock Hauling with F-550 and stock trailer as well as 52 ft tractor trailer hauling of cattle, bison and sheep. We take the responsibility of duty of care very seriously, and our drivers will refuse to transport any unfit animals. GOAT is committed to following CFIA guidelines for loading and transporting livestock such as:
- Providing enough space and headroom to allow the animal to stand in a natural position
- Ensuring transport vehicles are sufficiently ventilated and that food and water is provided at regular intervals
- Making sure footing surfaces are textured and non-slip
- Using proper loading devices, such as a loading chute to minimize stress and suffering
- Providing immediate and appropriate care for any animal that becomes sick or injured during the trip
